CVA aquires Green Mountain blank and barrel manufacturer

CVA is a company that makes muzzle loaders and is owned by BPI. They did not purchase Green Mountain (they already have barrel production from Bergara in Spain, and possibly in the US as well?)

Green Mountain was bought by Thompson Center. The brand was bought back by the former owners from S&W (I think, this is all off the top of my head) and was looking to get into production ASAP. So now they have a company that can make a variety of top level barrels right now. I haven't read what they will do with the original parts that Green Mountain made over the years, but I would guess that after they get running that they will continue to offer barrels for other fitments, not just the TC stuff.

I have an older TC Contender and I'm excited about the new company. Hopefully they will make more/all of the new barrels with threaded ends. I'd love to have a couple of contender barrels that are threaded for a can (22lr, 300bo, 22 hornet, 338ARC, etc).

BTW in the video around 8:20 he talks about GM being operated independently and still selling barrels to all of it's OE customers (Sionics, Ruger, Q, were a couple of specifically mentions) and the gun industry.

I know Ruger purchased Anderson to add (quickly) production capabilities, sounds like TC did the same thing.
