The 4.9, 5.0, 5.8, 2V 5.4 have all been great motors. It's the 3V 5.4's that seem to be problem children. The 5.0 coyote motor seems to be great. Verdict is still out on the eco-boosts. I don't trust FI engines for longevity.

Sorry AKguy I drove Ford company fleet vehicles for way too many years, and like a sucker even wound up with a couple of brand new lemons from Ford myself. (one Ford lemon replaced with another) I dont care what a car rag or blog says I aint gonna EVER fall for that again.
