Dryer sheet or liquid fabric softener

both...liquid in the washer...sheets in the dryer help with static, lint and other stuff like that...

True, but don't use it on flame retardant (breakdowns the treatment in kids sleepwear) or moisture wicking (workout clothes) material. It can also cause towels to not absorb as well.

Please note, dryer sheets can cause a film to collect on your lint screen. This film can result in a dryer fire. You can test for this film by running warm to hot water over the mesh to see if it runs through or sits on the mesh. If it sits on the mesh the film can be removed by using hot soapy water and a firm brush. The lint filter should be cleaned twice a year.

Liquid "softens" any hardness (calcium) in the water making the water wetter so the softening agents can help prevent wrinkling in the dryer.

Good ole FB video... I actually ran my dryer filter in the kitchen sink last week just to see and it ran right through no build up.

Cool of you to post about that freaky issue

Clean the lint screen at least 4 times a year, put into the dishwasher by its self and run through the long wash with steam and she will be good to go, clean the screen every time after you run a load in the dryer... Your dryer will be happy, and so will you...

just a simple suggestion... plus your heating element will last a lot longer...
