What happened to the Events section?

The announcement of the Events section has to be in the Events section. It's a chicken and the egg thing.

Yes, there was an events section. It didn't seem to get a whole lot of traffic so I just started using the calendar instead. If you have any events you want to let people know about you can just post it in the most appropriate forum and add it to the calendar.

I really hate forums that just sit and rarely get new posts, probably once a month I'll sit down and go over the site and condense a couple forums and add any that seem like they would do well.
