F U Costco

I needed to get bag of dog food and milk.
So I stop by after work, trying to do everything fast before the traffic starts on I75 in Hudson bridge.

Anyone who been to Costco knows they got a person at the exit. Checking if you are steeling.
Today i had no time for that. I had my hands full and receipt was sticking out of the pocket. i told her to take it.
She said, she cannot do that, blah blah.

I was tired and frustrated today. I was thinking, F this Bull ****.
So I walk out, and told her. "Call the cops, I dont give a F"
Funny, as I saw a cop in the food court.
I didnt run. They they to flag me down as I was driving away.

I was checking my rear view mirror for the cop to follow. Nothing.

Edited to add: Even if you didn't break any laws leaving costco when the cops tried to flag you down and you left you did commit a crime that if they wanted to be dicks, they can persue

Nah. Not illegal to leave without showing your receipt. Might be ramifications regarding the membership, but no way they could make it a criminal matter.

Honestly, I've never understood the business model for places like that. I have to pay for the privilege to shop in your store, you want to disarm me, and then you want to go through my stuff before I leave? No thanks.
