Favorite Load for Long Range (400 yrds+) Accuracy

[Springfield 1911]

I would have to say mine would be a 180gr Sierra Matchking pushed with 44.2gr of Winchester 748 paired with CCI Large rifle primer. Shot out of a Howa 308 Win, with a Timmney Trigger. 3 shot group @ 400 yards is 5/8". Scope used is a Leupold 6.5-20X50.

Yea It's kind of a bastard but it works. I love the ball powder as long as you shoot it before a rapid temp change!

That is the VERY best I've shot EVER! With this combo I mostly am in a little over an inch at 400. (1 5/16")
