First catch in my daughters "Rabbit Box"

That is so cool. Kudos to you two for making them. The old ways will never die if we teach them to the newer generations. My Father used to make those out of some rough cut oak boards and he would set them up every weekend at our lease land in Talbot County. He caught a bunch of rabbits in them, the ones made of oak moreso than the other types of wood. He made the back wall out of chicken wire so they resembled a hollow log. The wire also gave you a view into the trap when it was closed up. Makes positive ID prior to opening a lot easier.

Yep, apples do well, but count on catching a possum or two. I caught muskrats in them as a kid. I would have to get `em out after carrying my morning paper route and before going to school. If I waited til after school they would gnaw out. Muskrats were worth fifty cents. Not too bad. Cokes were a nickel.
