Vin plate says 84?

This is my first old toyota. I read that I should have a solid axle as well. Its full IFS and all the steering parts are from a 88. I have no idea of the history besides whats directly in front of me

Gotta be it.

All the steering/brakes I purchased were for a 88. I took pictures of all the parts when I was ordering and nothing matched up when I was looking into the 84.

Do the timing chain upgrade on the 22R and it will last forever.

Got this 84 body/88 frame pickup from one of my customers about 2 weeks ago. Working on getting it back road worthy after sitting since 2012.

5 speed. 4x4. Only 180k miles.

Keep it stock or lift it and turn it into a crawler?

What was your intentions when you bought it? I think it'd be sweet with a small turbo and 12" lift.

Leave it stock and have it painted original color and it will rise in value year after year.

The body is too rough to invest that kind of money into. Its far from perfect.
