It is a tough nut to crack. What were ya fishing for - bass, crappie, catfish, anything? There are fish in there. Last year DNR shocked up 2 very fat largemouth bass, probably close to double digits if not there. And there are big cats in there, too.

We threw worms under a bobber, jigs and flukes. I think DNR would frown on us using their technique. Good to know they are there we have just never had much luck there but it gives us hope.
We went to the Chattahoochee Saturday and fished rood creek and didn’t have much luck either. Hopefully we will get our “not much luck days” behind us and get to our wearing them out days.
We are still trying to figure out public water.

Mileage will vary, but fish for cats along the dam, and by that feeder over there, on the bottom usual techniques for channels. There are plenty of cats, and some real big ones.

That body of water looks like it would fish awesome with all that structure. Sort of like the Panic Pond looks. But like the Panic Pond, Flat is a tough one to crack. A lot of pressure for sure.

There is a lot of forage in there for the bass to target, so that is a factor in hookups out there. Fish real quiet, make loooong casts, mimic the hatch for bait/lure, and hopefully you'll hook up. Heck if ya land that 10 pounder it'd make it all worthwhile! :)

If my son was to hook a 10 that boat wouldn’t owe me a thing. Fished the feeder but probably not deep enough.

If yer in a boat just tie on a sinker and a hook with bait a couple inches above it and drop it overboard. Hope y'all get into some hookups out there. Sunrise is scenic if you can get there before it and enjoy it.
