Where are you located? Most creeks you can find fossils. I found part of a giant clam in a creek in my backyard and I’m in nw ga. You have to know what to look for.
There is a Precambrian formation that runs all under our feet. NW GA Trade & Convention Center In Dalton there is a pull of on the side of the road. If you look along the power line where the road was cut thorough you can find the sediment line and find stuff. There are roads all over Georgia that cut through the line up in the mountains- if you can pull off of the road and hunt it is likely you will find them. Look it up on YouTube to figure out what to look for.

You can also find all sorts of fossils in shale deposits.
The further south you go the more fossils in creeks you will find.
Every creek and river in fl has tons of fossils. If you want to go south and look, bring a kayak and a thin metal dowel and pole along the bottom u til you feel patches of gravel. That will be the hotspots for fossils where they “ condense”.
Get a sifter used in gold panning or make a wire one with pool noodles and screen- tons of videos online about that and cheap to build.
