Item Name: FS 1952-1954 Evinrude Lightwin 3HP outboard motor
Location: Suwanee
Zip Code: 30024
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 190 OBO
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Nice Vintage Evinrude 3HP Lightwin. It has compression and spark. New plugs. New carb kit. I've screwed up somehow...
The low speed needle valve still leaks a little gas, and I suspect I've went a little rich on the oil/gas mixture (too much oil). At any rate, a new carb kit and new gas should do the trick, but I have absolutely no time to pursue this project any further. I've decided to part with her.
The motor is squeaky clean. It's been repainted. My plans to restore it to its original beauty have been quashed due to upcoming surgeries. I'd love to get $190, but I'm open to any offer.
I also have a need for anything that takes 22LR. I'd prefer a little pocket rocket, but a rifle will do nicely. If you're up for a decent trade, please let me know.
02/25/21. Surgeries are done. Recovering slowly. Still want this gone. Still up for a little trade if anyone is interested. A little 22LR pistol or rifle takes up a lot less space than the boat motor. I'm bailing on the metro area within 6 months for the boonies of North Ga. I don't want to carry this with me.
04/14/21. Still up for sale. A few interested folks and 2-3 "buyers" that bailed. By the way, I got it running with a $25 carb kit and a five day carb soak. You can't kill these things. I did drop about an inch of bead-chain from the gas tank cap into the thing..... I won't crank it again until it's drained by me or whoever wants it.
