Up next is the base gun you have been waiting for! Up for your consideration is an amazing 1979 Colt Government Model MK/IV – Series 70 1911 in .45 ACP. It’s 45 years old and looks as new as a baby’s behind. It looks almost as clean as the day it came out of the box for the first time. For sure, this has got to be one of y’alls birth year gun.
Any of you notable home smiths . . . how often does a base gun for one of your builds come up in this clean condition? No hidden surprises, no previous work to undo . . . . .
Collectors? . . . . you already know. What more can I say?
My ask on this 1979 Colt Government Model MK/IV – Series 70 1911 in .45 ACP is $1,300 (OBRO).
Photos below tell of its condition better than words can. I do work exceptionally long hours and don't live on ODT any longer like I used to, so there may be some delay in my response. I also don’t always receive notifications from posts in this thread but do receive them from PM’s (go figure).
I will go through PM responses I get in the order I receive them. Not everyone says "PM Sent" or "I'll Take It" in the threads. I tend to watch PM's more than postings in the listing, so if you want to get noticed, PM me.
Due to many PM's I get, I guess I need to specify, NO TRADES . . . . . A trade doesn't move me in the right direction, it just gives me something else I will need to sell. I am in the process of liquidating my holdings.
Thanks for looking, thanks for your interest, and if you comment on my post, THANKS FOR THE BUMP!
