Beautiful 50+ yr old Colt Commander up for sale. Is very clean and unusually good shape for its age. This one was purchased by my uncle and he has entrusted me to sell it for him. It was a local smith or a local law enforcement armorer and was done over 30 years ago.
The short version of origin of the stipling is that my uncle loaned it to a very close friend so he could get familiar with a 1911 and the friend wanted to show his gratitude by having it stippled. Intentions were good on his part but my uncle did not like it one bit. Based on what i have seen on other firearms it is a decent job. Would prefer it left all original
