Item Name: FS Electric Scooter—almost new

Location: Newnan

Zip Code: 30265

Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 2000

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: This is an electric scooter; the manufacturer’s name is “Electric Wheels”.

The model is EW-36.

I believe it is advertised as having a 48 mile range and a top speed of 19mph. Please verify these numbers.

I am selling it on behalf of my father. He bought it new at the end of 2018, and only rode it a few times. He no longer needs it.

I have it in Newnan. It must be picked up in Newnan at my house.

This may be street legal in some areas. I am not sure. Based on golf cart path rules published online: It is legal to use this in Peachtree City on the cart paths.

It has blinkers, a horn, lights, and mirrors, as well as a motion sensing alarm-it is a loud alarm.

Here is a factory picture and it happens to be this color.

no go in ptc on cart paths

What’s Not Allowed on Golf Cart Paths?
  • Cars and Trucks (except maintenance and emergency vehicles)
  • Horses
  • Go-carts
  • Motorcycles, street bikes, mini-bikes, and mopeds
  • Unregistered golf carts
  • Electric or Gas powered scooters

I believe they are referring to the scooters that kids ride, not mobility aid scooters. But, whoever owns it will have to check for themselves.

From the web site:

Who Can Use the Golf Cart Paths?
  • Pedestrians
  • Roller skates, roller blades, skateboards
  • Non-Motorized vehicles
  • Registered golf carts (obeying the speed limit)
  • Bicycles
  • Wheelchairs
  • Registered electric personal assistive mobility
    devices (EPAMDs)

Registered electric personal assistive mobility
devices (EPAMDs) ………………….officer...………….not a scooter

I see what you are saying. Thank you.

So, I had to know. So, I looked it up:

Georgia Code
(15.6) "Electric personal assistive mobility device" or "EPAMD" means a self-balancing, two nontandem wheeled device designed to transport only one person and having an electric propulsion system with average power of 750 watts (1 horsepower) and a maximum speed of less than 20 miles per hour on a paved level surface when powered solely by such propulsion system and ridden by an operator who weighs 170 pounds.

Oddly enough, another site for Washington State patrol defines it the same way and also gives examples in picture form which included an electric chair, but not a scooter.

Two wheels not in tandem, self balancing.

Thank you for the insight.
