Item Description: 1955 Type 53 Mosin M44 - Refinished stock - C.A.I. Import. Good shooter w/ typical dark bore. The good, I was able to hit a 1 lbs exploding target while standing at 75 yards on my third shot. My buddy was getting 3 inch 3 round groups at 100 yards with iron sites. The bad, import mark and none matching numbers. The ugly, when I stripped the stock I discovered an inch crack in the stock just below the bolt on receiver wall side of the rifle. It was stable, but to be on the safe side, I injected wood glue and clamped it over night. I have not had issue one with the stock and that was 8 months ago. This weapon has been my truck gun, and I am confident this repair will not be an issue in the future.
I'm thorwing in 50 round of mil-surp ammo on Tula armory clips.
The most fun and joy that $175 can bring, I promise.
