Item Description: 1880's Antique working safe.
It is 40" High, 30 " wide, 24" deep, 8" off of the ground with the wheels on it.
It's beautiful! Maker is Mosler Safe Co. The front is handpainted with a landscape scene. The safe is marked with dates July 17 and Aug 28, 1883.
Front markings include Mosler Safe & Lock, Co. Cincinnati, O. and Mosler, Bowen and Co. 768 Broadway, NY.
Inside the door is marked with manufacturer information as well.
There is a name lettered on front top that is Lyman P. Goodell.
This safe would have to be the most interesting conversation piece in your mancave or home. It is definately impressive to look at and would be a beautiful display in any room. It is about the size of a washing machine. One heck of a work of craftsmanship that you just don't get these days! Even if you have everything, you need this!!!!!
