OFFICER'S MODEL (FIRST ISSUE).38 Spl. or .38 Long Colt cal., 6 in. barrel, cylinder rotates counter-clockwise and sideplate is on right-hand side of frame, adj. front - adj. rear sights, high luster blue, flat-top, last patent date 1901. Mfg. 1904-08.
Mine was one of the last of these….made in late 1907 or early 1908.
Barrel measures 5 1/4 +/-. It may have been cut and recrowned a long time ago….not sure but this would not be unusual for a target gun to restore accuracy.
