Item Description: For Sale: This is a beautiful stainless Dan Wesson Model 744. It’s a .44 Magnum with a 6” Vent Heavy Barrel that is compensated. Great gun for hunting or steel silhouette target gun. This thing is a tack driver. It’s heavy but the weight tames the recoil so its a real pleasure to shoot. Dan Wesson’s will also handle any load you want to run through it. Bring on the hottest Buffalo bore load and the gun handles it with no problem.
These guns are also made to interchange the barrels. You can swap barrels and use a 4” barrel, or 8” barrel. This gun comes with a 6"and is very clean and ready to go. This gun has had a scope on it in the past and the barrel shroud is tapped for a scope mount.
Gun comes with what you see - a foam padded carry case, a full set of tools including cylinder gap gauge and an extra Pachmayr grip, PLUS 50 rounds of swc target ammo.
It is a Monson, MA made gun. Would prefer cash but might consider trade or any reasonable offer.
