Item Description: Smith & Wesson Model 66-5 — manufactured in 2000. This example is a true modern-collector piece because it features an unusual factory quirk: one side of the barrel is missing the usual stamping. That no-stamp treatment was only used for roughly a month during production, so you rarely see this configuration — especially on a less than 1000 production Hi Viz Model 66-5. If you collect modern K-frames or run numbers, this one is a tidy, uncommon variant worth owning. This revolver remains mechanically excellent: rock-solid “bank-vault” lockup, perfect timing, and a clean bore and chambers. It was well cared for and shows only light handling wear consistent with careful use.
