Item Name: Looking for a Hunting mentor/ shooting buddy or even advice

Location: Roswell / Fulton County

Item is for: Sale or Trade

Sale Price: My hard work

Trade Value or Items Looking For: My time and hard work

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: I am reasonably young( 24) and very new to the GA area( My nearest family is in Texas) . Over the years I have tried to pick up what knowledge I could from my brother when he would take me to his company lease, but I find myself lacking the skills and knowledge base to be able to hunt on my own. I have shot several deer and turkey in my life(all clean 1 shot kills), but never from anything other than a deer stand, so I have 0 public land knowledge or experience. I am looking for someone who would be willing to take me under their wing so to speak and teach me how to be an outdoors man and I am willing to work for your knowledge. If you have a lease or some land I am willing to put time in to your property if you will be my mentor. Any help that is provided will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to meeting some of you!

Things I would like to learn are as follows:
1) Tracking/ understanding animal behavior
2) Methods of hunting besides sitting in a tree stand( Stalk, turkey blinds, ect)
3) What to look for when evaluating public land or private hunting leases ( what makes a good hunting spot)
4) How to manage animal population( deer, turkey, hogs) on your land
5) Hunting small game / predators
6) How to work with game calls ( no experience)

Good day Graham, Get pen and paper. Make a list of what you think "you" would need for a week long hunt camp.
Now mark through all except what you will need for a camp trip from Friday evening to Sunday noon.
From that list, put what you need in a back pack.
With this back pack of needs, you are ready for a full week in the back pack camping woods.
Can you do it ?

Look me up when archery starts if you're gonna sling arrows or bolts.

We can get a jump on the gunners...LOl.

I know a few good spots we could set you up in.....just bring your Sasquatch repellant.
