Nice one! I have one almost identical except mine is a little older with the rounded press checkering in the stock. I agree the newer cheap 700s. dont hold a candle to the older BDLs.

I picked up a couple of nice walnut stock ADL 700s at a pawn shop a couple of months back 30-06 and 243. the 243 even had a nice Redfield scope on it.
I was looking for something a little rougher, but when you get a really nice rifle for a truck gun price, I just couldn't resist. Now I don't want to haul them around in the truck and beat them up. lol

I understand that! Id love to find a nice BDL in 25-06, especially a heavy barrel but don't have the funds at the moment.

Can you tell me the date code on the barrel? It's the two letters on the side opposite the ejection near the receiver.
