Item Description: Rifle was custom built for me by Miles Gibby. My only reason for selling is because I went a different route. This rifle started out as a Remington 700 5R in 300 Win Mag. The original stock and barrel will go with the sale. It has a 24" Lilja stainless standard magnum contour barrel chambered in 300 Win Mag, a Bell & Carlson Remington Mtn Rifle stock (medium grey with black webbing and aluminum blocking), Talley mounts, and a Leupold VX-ll 4-12x40 matte scope with Butler Creek covers. The bolt has been fluted and all metal has been coated matte black. Trigger is great with no creep in the pull. The rifle barrel has been broke in with 8-rounds fired and cleaned. It has been fired a total of 14-rounds and it has been zeroed in at one inch high at a hundred yards. It is currently shooting a half to three quarter group with three shots from a rest and me being as steady as I can...I am 65-years old and not as steady as I use to be...go figure. I'm sure it would probably be tighter from a locked-in rest and bench or someone that is more steady than I am. The complete rifle fully loaded with the scope and ammo weighs 8-3/4 pounds. I don't like muzzle breaks so it is a beast to shoot. The package includes 8-boxes of Federal Premium ammo (3-boxes of 200 grain Terminal Ascent ballistic tip and 5-boxes less eight rounds of 180 grain Nosler AccuBond ballistic tip). The whole package is $2750.00 or $2300.00 without the scope. I will not sell without the ammo unless someone wants to buy the ammo for $350.00 first.
