Item Description: The Thompson/Center Icon is a 270 Winchester caliber, not the short mag version. It is the top of the line in T/C rifles with the extra accurate 5 R rifling. This is the rare Classic model (none of the Classic model are shown for sale on Gunbroker as of the posting of this ad) which means it has the hinged floor plate like a BDL Remington instead of a removable magazine. I bought this rifle new several years ago and it is in perfect condition. The round count would be in the 100 to 120 range. It has been very accurate with 130, 140, and 150 grain ammo from different manufacturers.
