Not sure what caliber this is, but its not safe to shoot .308 in a gun marked 7.62 NATO. Shooting 7.62 NATO in a gun marked .308 is fine. Kinda like the 556/223 rounds.

Whew! Glad I opened this thread. I've fired thousands of 7.62 NATO rounds through my FALs marked 308! It's a dang wonder I haven't blown my fool head off.

I have shot 7.62x51 and 308 out of it. I have asked many gun experts about and everyone says its fine to shoot both. Never had a problem with either.
