Item Description: Beautiful rifle I that I have taken to the range a few times. Always afraid to end up with a scratch. But that's just me.
A long time ago in a world not too far away, an old fellow bought the rifle new and in .222 caliber. Whenever his vacation week came along he went to PA (where he grew up) and shot ground hogs. One day he decided to send the rifle to Washington state to a custom smith and have a new med. wt. barrel installed in the caliber of .223 Rem. By this time he was in his seventies and didn't have good enough health to use it. So I bought it and now my health is problematic. End of story; not many rounds through the new barrel.
The Leupold vari x lll 6.5x20 fine hair and target dot and target elevation turret is mounted and we can talk about whether or not you would like to have at some price.
Hard for me to price this rifle. Not a lot to compare it with.
I see on line the same rifle w/extra fancy wood going about $1500.00 IE the Classic designation. Mine is a grade lower I think. Maybe someone w/knowledge about Kimber prices could PM me their thoughts about how I should proceed. Thx
P>S> A fellow member was kind enough to respond and tell me this may be a classic (except collector value would need the orig. .222 bbl) so my price is lower to reflect the now .223 cal. which for a shooter rather than collector, as I feel is best for use as a varmint getter today.
