Item Description: For Sale is this historic rifle, it is know by many names: The Zastava or Yugo M98/48 K98 K98K Mod.98/48 or Model 98/48. However, at its core it is a WWII German manufactured Mauser Karabiner 98k K98K 98K that was captured by partisans or eastern armies after the Germans retreated. The Republic of Yugoslavia used these ex-German rifles to help rearm their military after the war where many were kept in storage for a future conflict.
The caliber is 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm). This is a great example of an original German WWII made K98 that was repurposed by the Republic of Yugoslavia. A great rifle to have or start your collection with. The receiver bears the Yugoslavian crest over the chamber, with “PREDUZECE44” and still showing the original German “Mod.98” marking on the left side. It is the traditional German WWII 98K configuration. I am including an additional barrel I received from a friend.
