Item Name: Pair of Twin Colt .45's
Location: Vinings
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $1800 obo
Caliber: .45 ACP
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Selling my twin Colts from the deepest corridors of my safe. Two Double-Eagles here, double-action .45 autos. One is 5.5 inch barrel, the other, the Officer's Carry Special, is 4 inch barrel. Other than barrel length, they are identical twins. Most accurate .45s I've ever fired; never jammed, misfed, stove-piped. Ever. I've owned the bigger one for 12 years and the little brother for 8. As you know, the Double Eagle is an out of production model that is extremely hard to find. The basic frame is a 1911 but with modifications: have decocker instead of safety, has double-action, has no back-strap safety. Virtually all other parts (springs, most -but not all- pins,) are interchangable with standard 1911. Takes standard 1911 mags.
Fixed sight-system, diamond-cut grips, decocker, half-beaver tail (reduced in size from standard 1911). Each comes with 1 1911 mag.
Both are series 90 (4 inch gun is Mark II, 5.5 inch has no designation).
Finest .45 autos -by far- that I have ever owned. Asking $1800 for the pair or $950 each if you only want one. I am looking for cash, but would consider trades for handguns, ARs, etc.
Best,
Grendel_1909
