Item Description: I have an unusual rifle for sale. This is a Remington Armory Russian Mosin Nagant in 7.62x54R. It has a stamp on the barrel under the scope “Remington Armory 1917”. These were made by Remington Armory between 1915 and 1918 specifically for the Russian Army during World War I. Russia could not keep up with production of the Mosin so they contracted with Remington Armory to produce the weapons.
This one has been sporterized for use in hunting. It has a vintage Weaver KV scope and a Stith Mount. It is a very nice rifle. Some bluing has been rubbed off as shown in the photo.
