Item Description: This is a Ruger 45 Long Colt Blackhawk single action pistol. But it's a little unusual.
It's Factory Polished Stainless made for only about 1 year. This not only has the Box, docs, lock. But it has the cardboard that is the only place you know it was a factory polished stainless. There is a "G" prefix on the cardboard box...they call it the shipping sleeve. It also has the grey plastic box.
This is maybe not "RARE" but certainly totally collectible and otherwise uncommon since it was only available for one year in the FACTORY POLISHED STAINLESS.
According to the ser. # ruger says 1997, ruger also says "Ruger does not produce firearms in serial number order. There are occasions when blocks of serial numbers have been manufactured out of sequence, sometimes years later".
