What does dark bore mean?

Not to sound like a jerk, but it literally means it has a dark bore. Meaning it isn’t shiny like a newer cleaner bore. In Milsurp it could be caused by many things like not being cleaned thoroughly. I did recently run a barrel brush and several patches through this one and it cleaned up nicely.
