FYI - SPS (formerly known as ADL) Remington rifles sale new for $375 - $390 new...

SPS is a different rifle.

I agree and you are right. Let me say this in a different way... The ADL was what the SPS replaced and for all the differences that may be in the stock design, new trigger, finish - they are for lack of better terms equal rifles of different eras.

But the glaring issue is they sale NEW for sub $400.

People asking more for used b/c it has a half box of bullets seems a bit off the rocker but hey, it's their unit so they can ask what they wish...

Good luck getting a SPS for under 600.

The blind mag is a big negative for some folks. I'm not sure it's a $125 neg for me but....

Isnt the action all the same... It's still a 700. I've got BDL , ADL, CDL, SPS, and my favorite VSSF in 220 Swift. I give up letting the secondary market raise my BP. Too high just ignore them.

Yes, the 700 is a 700 is a 700...

Aside finish, J-Wart (bolt security abortion), action size and bolt face diameter the 700 action is a 700 action.

The SPS was Remington's market guru's idea of how to introduce something FRESH from the ADL.

They gave it a new looking stock, had to get rid of the Walker (sued to death) trigger and went with the XMark version 1, 2, 3, 9 or something now and from what I think the finish is slightly less rust resistant on the newer model SPS's vs the older ADL's.
