I'm interested in getting one of these for my wife to carry. She likes the Glock 26 but hates my Glock 27 (which I love, too much power from that little bulldog for her I guess). At more than $100 less than the 26 she is interested as well.

Glock 42 yes or no?

If she likes it and will carry/shoot it why not?
I haven't got a chance to hold one yet, but I think it's a niche gun. At 13 ozs it would be my go to if I were taking a walk/jog or a bike ride... But that's about it for me. My wife prefers to carry the XDS.
If she likes the 26 have her stick with that!

If the only brand she likes is Glock, I guess the choice is obvious. I held the 42, racked the slide, but haven't shot it. Even empty, it seemed heavy. It is bigger than a .380 needs to be. I love my Glock 26, but it's not easily concealed without a lot of bulky clothing, so my EDC is a .380 that is smaller than a Glock 42. IMHO, there are many better .380 choices. With equally good customer service. Lighter, smaller, more concealable, more likely to carry.

No, of she likes the 26, just stick with that unless the size is that big of a deal breaker.
