Is it funny I had the same thought????
Glocks are a fine choice if you don’t mind the grip, it takes some getting used to. I personally have swapped to the M&P camp with the 2.0, it just fits the hand so much better. American made, metal sights, and are cheaper to boot.

Won't even try to talk you out of buying a Glock. My favorite gun is my gen 2 21. Bought it used about 20 years ago and it still shoots flawlessly. I have put thousands of rounds through it with no problems. I also have a gen 3 22 that gives me no problems.
