Has anyone here worked 25 hours straight?

How difficult is it. I'm trying out for a second job at a warehouse tonight from 10 to 7 am. Then I can probably catch one or two z's before I have to work 10a to 1030p Saturday. I really want the 2nd job but not if I'll be struggling through my first. Think I can handle it? Or should I find a different second job?

Went to work on a dairy farm over the weekends when I was in college. Left the bar at 1am and got to the milk parlor at 2:30 and milked and fed cattle until 1pm. Sucked. Try it for a while. If it doesn't work you can move on. I'd just let my bosses know the situation. Best not to burn any bridges.

How did that feel, and would you like to experience that regularly?

When I was in the Army, the longest shift I ever worked was about 72 hours. The last 12 hours or so, I was delirious and throwing up randomly.

I did emergency water damage restoration for a few years. We would be on call at night and a lot of times just work though the night and start our next day without ever going home, so about 30-36 hours without sleep. You can do it just fine if its like once or twice a week. You will only be miserably for about 2-3 hours somewhere in the night shift. After that you will be fine. Don't be scared to try it. Just don't try to do it every day...
