They should have written into the contract with Omnialert that “the President and all members of the board of directors of Omnialert, as well as the principle and school administrators for the school district, will be held liable for any and all criminal and civil penalties resulting in false alerts on any student”.

If you want to use AI then you’ll be held personally responsible for anything AI does or doesn’t do.
