High yield corporate bonds

Speaking of gambling, I had to replace a bond that was called today. Got to looking at high yield corporates. Phew. If you think Sirius XM will be around 20 years from now you can get 35% YTM. QVC? Kohls? Lucky 13%.

I went for a safe as houses 5.5% federal agency bond, btw.

Federal bonds/bills are a no brainer when the rates are better than what you get in a HYSA, you don't need the cash in the short term, you still have an emergency fund available to cover X amount of time from an expenses point of view, and the market is doing funny things.

True. You pay for convenience by giving up points on interest rates.
