Time for some advice from you folks that have been doing this for much longer than I.
I just recently got a Glock 21 Gen 4 that is to be my bedside home defense gun. I want to use the Crossbreed Bedside Backup holster gizmo. However, I also want to put a light on the Glock, probably a TLR-2. The Ohai holsters that Crossbreed offers for attaching to the Bedside Backup don't include any with a light option. There's one that includes the Crimson Trace Laserguard, but not one for a light option.
I don't have a nightstand with drawers that I could just put it in. I guess I could get another small safe box to just sit on the floor (already have a multi-gun size one in the closet) - but I kind of like the hanging off the side of the bed concept. Suggestions or alternatives?
On a related note, what's the etiquette for holster shopping in the local gun store? In the little bit of looking that I've done, they all seem to be sealed in bags or boxes. Do they have some that you can actually put your gun in (unloaded of course) so you can see what it feels like etc? Or do you just buy and return as necessary?
Thanks for your feedback.
