There are four nylon gears that operate the accessorie drives on the Case prep station. A couple of my gears have crumbled and they do offer a replacement set of steel gears. If anybody has this Hornady prep station and has experienced a breakage of one of these gears eBay sells a replacement set of steel gears for 13 bucks. For a while one of my three accessory drives hasn't been operable because it broke I just use the other two. Tonight I was prepping some cases in one of the other gears broke. I took it apart and saw what was happening and ordered me a new set of gears for the prep station which should last a lot longer than the nylon gears which it came out with. Just a bit of trivia if anybody has experienced some breakage there.

Yep mine is broken now.. cheap junk. Hornady did say i could send it in and they would replace it. Just haven't done ot yet. The steel gears is probably a better option. Thanks for sharing 👍

They sent me three sets of composite gears. There's five screws on the front of the prep Center. Take those five screws off and there's a center gear that runs the three accessory drives. I will mail you a set of those gears if you give me your address and you can simply replace them and it'll be good as new. Just don't tighten down the front cover too tight after you replace the gears or it will bind. Let me know in a PM your address and I will send you a set of replacement gears. I thought they were steel but they're not they're composite but stronger than the originals.
