How do you deal with stumps or how do you know the water is low?

We go to lake Fork in Texas to bass fish occasionally and it is the worst i have ever been to. If you have a depth finder that will mark your trail that’s the best way. If in a stump area just proceed with caution very slow and careful. We bump into them there alot. There’s no way to miss them all

If you outboard will do it, unpin it so it can kick up when it hits something.

I looked and I dont think mine will unpin.
