So after not being able to find any stealth grey Pmags to compliment my AR pistol build I decided to take matters in my own hands.
I found a article on the innerwebs about using the ol school RIT dye. I've seen good and bad reviews about it stating colors don't come out right, how well it holds up etc.
After digging thru well over 2 years of posts of the interweb guys that used the dye method stating the mags are still holding strong. Some even used a razor made to see how deep the dye penetrated stating atleast 1MM to more.
I loaded up a stainless steel pot and and started the stove and mixed in roughly 1/2 the little pack from one box of RIT pearl grey. Soon as the mix came close to boil I soaked the mags around 6 minutes. What do you guys/gals think of the results? ****ty lighting but it was dark outside so I'll see about better pictures on natural light. The grip in photo is a non dyed part that came from magpul in stealth grey.

Looks good. Yeah the new system will take some getting used to but I think it will be a great improvement when we get used to it. I like it.

One of the base plates is a shade or 3 darker as it was my test piece and it probably soaked for well over 12 minutes total. I think you can see it in the 1st picture right side mag
