I love the 1886s. Something about them. But I got a ton of ammo for the 45/70 and needed something reliable to shoot it with. That and the henry brass looks cool.Nice! Buddy of mine has an older Browning 1886 in 45-70. It is a gorgeous gun. I think it was made in Japan but that bunch didn't skimp on nothing!

Yep.The brass is OG. I like it.
Less I'm sure......Was it more or less $ than a golf membership?
Well, the rifle was 1000 dollars but I got it tax free through the PX. The 200 rounds of ammo was 649.00 tax free as well and free shipping through the PX. A golf membership is 2700 dollars a year plus 400 dollars a month cart fees if I play five days a week. So substantially less. Was it more or less $ than a golf membership?
You saved money. And you ain't gona play golf everyday. Ain't happenin. Another thing, when you get tired of it. You can sell it and get most of your money back. That membership ain't worth nothin. Not to mention you'd spend more money there. Designed to be a money pit......Well, the rifle was 1000 dollars but I got it tax free through the PX.
