Something like, "Hey, if you see a 226 with serial xxxx, call me"? Or what did you have in mind?
i like it, but it would need to be private to members that request it or something like that
This could be something in the firearms sections. If it has been reported stolen then their is no privacy about the serial number. I know if one of my guns was stolen and I reprted it then I would want members to know what the serial number was and know to be on the look out.
This would not just be something that could be used for someone posting a potentially stolen gun on ODT but if a member recalled hey this Sig was reported stolen and here's its description/finish and here's it's serial number, look at the serial and inform the members or the actual individual of what you ran across.
I like the idea but I'm not sure it would do any good, I don't think anyone would ever get their gun back from that. I guess it would make you feel better that you have it posted somewhere but I imagine the number of people who would actually check it would be small.
