Interesting thing about my doe yesterday

I took a doe yesterday about 5:30 but sat the rest of the evening to let my daughter hunt. As she and I were walking up to the doe I noticed something on her side. I looked at her and found a bulge on her side. I guess I'll let the pictures tell the story from there. Looks like it had been there a while. I've seen deer with scars and old wounds but nothing like this.

I’ve pulled bullets out of multiple deer while cleaning em. Large and small caliber. They’re tough critters.

I think it's some kind of bullet. I need to get it out of the truck and measure it.
