Interstellar space travel ? Think again.....

There are no options. In this case, "Never" is the reality. The distances are so mind boggling, we can't even wrap our heads around them, and are forced to fabricate ridiculous theoretical options like warp engines and worm holes.
And the predictable non-arguments like,,"well, they said we'd never land on the moon", don't hold up. We're never getting anywhere near other inhabitable planets ( and that's assuming earth-like planets actually do exist, which in itself is such a staggering long-shot, they quite plausible may not.)

Try explaining to an Ancient Roman (One of the most advanced civilizations of its time and for over a millennia thereafter) that they could harness the energy of the very building blocks of matter and replicate the molecular fusion that fuels the Sun in the sky........ They would look at you like you're a psycho and move on.

I'm not saying it IS possible to achieve interstellar travel. But to say something for mankind is impossible has yet to age well. Being dogmatic is generally a guarantee to end up with egg on the face.

No comment on the interstellar travel part, but on the contrary, it would be a long shot if other Earth like planets did NOT exist.

The Drake equation takes into account all the vast possibilities/assumptions about the universe as we know it, and states it would be almost impossible that other Earth like planets did not exist somewhere.

Transporters for teleportation.

Try explaining to that Roman that you could hold a conversation in real time with someone anywhere within the Roman Empire. Or visit them with a couple hours.

If one can't image something, is that a limit of reality, or a limitation of imagination?
