Item Description: Italian Carcano. I'm not going to pretend to be a historian or with deep knowledge about any rifle, let alone this one. The pictures will speak for themselves. It appears to be all original. The stock has a number stamped into the wood that matches the hardware. No import markings. The stock does not appear to have ever been refurbished. I took lots of pictures of the rifle to see what you get. There are plenty of little nicks and scratches, but no cracks that I could find. There's no way of proving that this rifle was ever used in battle, but it looks to like it could have. It has lots of character including two distinctive "x" marks on the stock. They look to be old, just like the rest of the rifle. I've never shot it. I only bought it to go with the other WWII era rifles that I had. I'm selling it because my collecting has gone into another direction. I'm pretty firm on the price, but as with everything in life, it's negotiable. I work afternoon shift. So, I can only meet in the mornings during the week or on Saturday. I'm willing to meet a potential buyer within 30 minutes or so of Cartersville.

Please expound. I love history. Are you saying it was used in the Winter War? What do you base your comment on? I'm genuinely interested.
It could have been used in the Winter and Continuation war. Finland needed small arms badly when fighting the Soviets, so they bought whatever spare rifles that were available to buy. M38 Carcanos were on the list. This one has clearly been bought and used by Finland, due to the SA in a box stamp on the barrel
