Item Name: Item Gone: FS 1955 Browning Sweet Sixteen with Ammo...
Location: Monroe, GA
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $1,150
Caliber: Other
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Up for sale is a Browning Sweet Sixteen. I inherited it from my Uncle, who purchased it new in 1955 for my Aunt. She never liked it, so it sat for years. Then, they stopped liking each other, and it eventually came to me! Unfortunately, my Uncle had the original barrel cut and a Cutts Choke welded-up (Modified-choke installed) back in the day (maybe my Aunt wanted a shorter swing?), but when I inherited it, I found a replacement, Full-choke, 29" barrel, and I like it much better. The gun is fantastic condition for its age and shoots great and reliably with both barrels, and it is pretty easy on the shoulder, but I just don't shoot and enjoy it like I do my other shotguns, and 16 gauge shells are pricey compared to 12, so it is time to find a new home. Both bores are shiny smooth with no apparent rust. The wood looks like it was Tru Oiled at some point, but it looks great.
Also included are the magazine plug, 282 rounds of #4, #6 and #8 shells (Remington, Federal and Noble Sport Italia) and the box that they live in. Any questions, please ask!
Willing to meet only in Monroe/Social Circle and closely surrounding areas (sorry for the inconvenience).
Thanks for looking!
