A 1988 model with Invector chokes which has "made in Belgium" stamped on the barrel?
Could you post a picture of the barrel stamp?

Production of the Browning A5 shifted from FN in Belgium to Miroku in Japan in 1976 so I am very curious about this one.

Thank you,

The gun for sale here is an 80’s Jap gun. The gun in the link provided is a Belgian gun, presumably to show a price comparison. The price of the two are not very comparable for collectibility but that doesn’t necessarily mean OPs price is off base. Jap guns have really been coming on in value lately bc the ability to shoot steel through them and interchange chokes is valuable to many shooters today.

Have to disagree that there’s not much difference in Belgian and Jap guns though. It’s just whether or not you like the differences.

This is a great gun btw. 20s are hard to come by.

Very nice shotgun. The Miroku guns are well made. But they are not Belgian.
I have no idea about the value but I would be proud to own this one if my gun fund wasn't empty lol.

Original ad represented the gun as Belgian made A5 manufactured during the 80s which would be very unique as only a very few from the custom shop were produced by FN during that time period.
The ad has since been updated to remove those references.
Value is determined by the buyer and seller.

Japan A5 USED same spec 2750$+75$ shipping thanks for the commentary to entertain me on this boring Monday gentleman.
It might very well be worth what you're asking or more. I think people were drawn to commenting on the listing originally because you listed it as "Belgian" and it's not. Then you listed a GB comp that was, again, from Belgium. People here are probably trying to educate you a little bit about what you're trying to sell. It's a lovely shotgun and I'm a big fan of Japanese craftsmanship. GLWS.
