Item Name: Item Gone: FS 9x18 IJ70-18AH Makarov
Location: General area of Marietta, Sandy Springs, Duluth, and Buford
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 500
Caliber: Other
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Hello!
*I'm very sorry for the long description! Just trying to be honest about this gun, and don't want to unintentionally hide anything that you might consider to be an issue...
This Makarov has two magazines, one 12-round (factory) and one 10-round (aftermarket). Also, an aftermarket, fixed rear sight and nylon holster are included. $500
*8-round single stack Makarov mags work with this model, also - tested it, and it cycled with no problems.
Caveats:
--The grip looks exactly like a factory grip, but it's actually aftermarket - you can see that there is a small gap where the top of the backstrap meets the frame of the gun (I think the factory grip might also fit in this manner, but just pointing it out).
--The factory rear sight is adjustable with a spring-loaded leaf kind of thing, and these springs are known to bounce when firing the gun, and the sights can gradually skew after firing several shots, hence the additional fixed sight. I haven't tried it with the fixed sight yet.
--One last thing - the factory mag feeds with no problems, but there is just a little bit of "stick" when the follower reaches the top of the mag, and it wouldn't always hold the slide after firing the last round. I slightly filed (with a fine toothed file!) the protruding metal from the follower, but haven't fired the gun since, so I don't know for sure if it will reliably push the slide stop after the last round - but now hand racking it does hold the slide on the empty mag. More polishing or a stronger mag spring might resolve this if it is still a problem.
Thank you!
