I also have a West Hurley Auto-Ordnance Corporation 1927 A-1 Deluxe rifle semi-auto in .45ACP for sale. If you buy both guns, I will give a discount.
Pictures are considered part of the description. This shotgun will take up to 3 1/2-inch shells and is rated for steel shot. However, some of the choke tubes will NOT take steel shot. Shotgun comes with three choke tubes. Full choke, no steel shot. Improved Modified, steel OK and Improved Cylinder, Steel OK. Shotgun has original shims used to change the drop and cast adjustment. I currently have it set for the shot cloud to be 50% above and below a clay bird with a six a clock hold at approximately 25 to 30 yards.
I used this shotgun in 3-gun competition for several years. It has a Nordic 8 round extension tube giving it a total capacity of 12 rounds of 2 3/4 shells in the mag tube. Because of the extended magazine tube, the shotgun comes with a homemade tool to change the choke tubes. If I say so myself, the tool is well made, but does have some chips in the paint near the choke end of the tool. Originally, I ran a brace which attached to the barrel and the extended magazine, but found removing it and re-installing it changed the point of impact of slugs. I modified it in an attempt to stop the shift in impact, but ultimately remove it. It is included as is. I installed a match saver single shell holder and a homemade hand stop. All of these are visible in the pictures.
The Benelli is currently, with the exception of the hand stop, is in the original configuration, with the original magazine cap, spring and shell limiter installed. The match saver shell holder and extended magazine had been remove, but of course, will be included with the gun when it is sold. Also included are the owner’s manual and original box . All of these are in very good condition. This gun is in excellent mechanical condition. It does like to be run hard.
Cosmetically, the gun is in very good condition. As you can see from the pictures, it has a red and black paint scheme. The red on the pistol grip and fore end is model stripping tape. It has never become lose. The other red high lites are rattle can paint. The end of the magazine tube shows wear from the muzzle blast and nicks from being placed in drop barrels during competition.
The butt stock has nicks and scratches. There are light scuff marks on both sides of the receiver. Because of the mat finish, they are not obvious. Barrel has scuff marks and light wear on the sighting rib. The mid bead on the rib is missing. Just behind the muzzle there are multiple and noticeable wear marks from the mag brace. The mag tube also has multiple and noticeable wear marks from the mag brace and general handling. There is a scratch in the paint on the mag tube.
Shipping must be to an FFL and I need a copy of the FFL's license. I would like to package the gun for shipping and get a firm shipping price prior to finalizing the sale. I am using USPS shipping rates, from their web site. UPS and FedX no longer take firearms from individual. It is possible your FFL may be able to provide a pre-paid shipping label at a better price than I can get. I have no problem shipping in this manner. Payment must be by money order. I am not set up to do Pay-Pal or other electronic payment.
