Item Description: British Enfield - I believe its the No 1 Mk 4. I've had the gun for 20+ years. The stock has been refinished with linseed oil and the medal has been painted flat black. The gun look likes it has never been fired or if it has, it was minimal. The bore is bright and was packed in cosmoline when I purchased the gun. The bolt face looks brand new.

I'm not sure what the gun is worth. I'm asking $225 obo. I'll respond to reasonable offers. Cash only, FTF in the metro area, GA resident, and legal age.

That's a No.4 Mk1. What year was it made. Does the number stamped on the rear of the bolt handle match the number stamped on the metal socket that connects the butt stock wood to the fore stock wood. What number, 0-3, is stamped on the bolt head. Who made it, Long Branch, Savage, BSA, Maltby, Fazakerly? There should be markings on the socket or receiver designating manufacturer. Your rear sight is a Mk.2, 2 position peep sight. How many groove barrel, and what condition is it in? The rear handguard looks grooved and that's good. Is the stock walnut or beech? All these answers will determine what the Enfield is worth.

Nice looking rifle. Could also be Winchester, Remington, Eddystone or POF manufactured I think. Lots of facilities making those during that time. Not sure if Lithgow in Australia made the No. 4 Mk 1 or not.
